This is the project website for the preparatory study on Refrigerating and Freezing Equipment in the context of the Ecodesign Directive:

ENTR Lot 1 - Refrigerating and Freezing Equipment: Service cabinets, Blast cabinets, Walk-in cold rooms, Chillers, Remote Condensing Units, Water dispensers, Minibars, Wine storage appliances, Ice makers, Dessert and Beverage machines. This study is being carried out for the European Commission (DG ENTR).

2006-07 - Please note that during 2006-07, a preparatory study related to Commercial refrigerators and Freezers was conducted in the context of the Ecodesign Directive: TREN Lot 12 for The European Commission (DG TREN). It focuses on commercial plug-in and remote refrigerated display cabinets, and refrigerated vending machines. The final report for this study is available for download.

October 2009- The second set of questionnaires related to the ENTR Lot 1 study - Task 4 (Assessment of Base Cases) and Task 5 (Best Available Technology - BAT and Best Not Yet Available Technology - BNAT Analysis) for manufacturers of plug-in service cabinets, plug-in blast cabinets, plug-in walk-in cold room, remote condensing units and chillers is availabe in the Documents Section.
